The forest grew at different rates, smudged accross time
Waves flow over and through until the landscape yields
The shadows seemed to imbue life, even to the harsh rock
Forms came and went before you could be sure of your vision
The Sirens were not the only thing drawing you to the sea
Glints of treasure hid in the surface, too small for you or I.
Those who would read the trees saw the knots as a tourniquet, an effort to stop less desirable paths.
There was a sense you did, infact, inhabit the space. But where and how wasn't clear.
The trees screamed an ethereal fire. It did not seem to burn, but the haze was intense.
